Steele, President, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago; Patricia Saldaña Natke, President and Design Principal at UrbanWorks Ltd; and Suzzette Jaskowiak Divisional Vice President
Pharmacy, Healthcare & Customer Engagement Technology at Walgreens.
This year’s Female STEM Professional of the Year was awarded to Gayle Jones, Director of Patient Access at Horizon Pharma.
I’m Katie Davis and I’ve been volunteering for G4S for about three years.
Currently I am a process engineer for Blommer Chocolate. I help ensure equipment runs properly and quality chocolate keeps flowing!
My favorite memory with G4S was building Rube Goldberg machines. It was so much fun to keep building more complicated and longer machines with the girls through trial and error. They turned out so well!
My words of wisdom to students: Don’t let fear of failure prevent you from trying anything. Just keep pretending you know what you are doing. No one will know the difference, even you!
Highlights from Spring 2019 Session … CODING
During the spring module, students continued learning topics in Coding. Working in groups, the girls designed online magazines showcasing women in science, technology, engineering and math. For six weeks the groups were immersed with CSS, Java Script and HTML. The girls each played a role in building the online magazines and presenting their work to their families on April 10th.
